"There is no early intervention out there... they could paper the walls of Stormont with their policies, stategies and autism task reports - but you try bringing that into a home where a mother is on her two knees trying to toilet train her child. The services are letting our children down, failing our families. In England parents have choices, there are independent schools, private schools, NAS schools. What is it with Ireland? The children are 4 or 5 before they acknowledge the child has autism....Someone coming into your house once a fortnight for 20 minutes is not early intervention.
